Otro clásico de clásicos. "Painkiller" (1990) es el doceavo álbum de Judas Priest. Es un disco que revalora la escencia metalera de los 70, pero dándole un giro completamente distinto al implementar el speed metal; doble pedalera reiterada, guitarras veloces y la voz desgarradora de Rob Halford como un grito del mismo infierno, elementos que han influenciado a grupos power metal como Gamma Ray, Primal Fear y otros.
